we all say we experience abnormal encounters but how can we tell whos lying about what, the nicest most honest people telling their story, how do i know if they made it up or if their exaggerating or underestimating the encounter or what if they are just utterly insane. words mean absolutely dogshit even your own, we can only know if we expierence it.

i mean, i always give people the benefit of the doubt that they arent lying, however, i dont let it inform my own experiences. like if someone else is saying that they saw a ghost, just because i choose to believe that they arent lying doesnt mean that i believe in ghosts and believe that whatever they saw might not have been like, a trick of the light, illusion or even delusion. you know? i think you just have to enjoy it as what it is, a story. even if its legit legit there is no way you would know the difference because it isnt your experience and even more than that, these are internet strangers who can say whatever tf they want. so to summarize, i think one should go in with the mindset of believing that people believe what they saw, but understanding that just because they believe that they saw and encountered something paranormal, doesnt mean you have to or that they actually did.
