Bone Foraging

I've been wanting to start foraging for bones for a while now, but I'm not exactly sure where to start.

does anyone have any tips on where would be the best places to look, I don't live near any wooded areas, and don't have a car so it's not overly easy for me to get to any. however, I do live near the beach and I've seen a few people say that is a good place to look- I just haven't seen any bones yet.

If anyone has tips on cleaning and degreasing the bones, I would also appreciate that.
