Autism as a late teen/young adult

Hi I’m maw I was clinically diagnosed with autism at the age of 17 I didn’t understand why at the time but I eventually have came to terms with it! For me being autistic is something I should have realised much earlier but since I didn’t outwardly show signs at a young age I went undiagnosed. I was an unproblematic child that excelled at school work and had an omega obsession with pokemon but was always treated differently to other kids as I didn’t fit the male stereotypes thrust upon kids at my school (religious). I’m glad that I was diagnosed though as I’ve learnt where some of my behaviour stems from such as bed rotting and getting overstimulated.
