Hello there!
One of the best things about Melty Blood is that, while the mechanics themselves may be difficult to get the hold of for some players, it's incredibly easy to start playing the game itself.
First off it must be made clear that the majority of these resources will be dedicated to Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code as that is the most reliable way to get people familiar with the franchise and it has the most in depth resources available. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, then let me explain. There are two primary versions of Melty Blood, the abandonware version Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code (or as it will be referred to from here on out MBACC) and there is Melty Blood:Type Lumina. Both games are totally fine and it really doesn't matter which one you prefer, but only one has a no strings attached no cost totally free download.
If you are new to Melty Blood and are looking for where to download the game, simply go to https://play.meltyblood.club/ and from there you will be able to download MBACC. Type Lumina can be purchased on most if not all platforms.
You will be installing 3 different applications. MBACC, Concerto, and CCCaster. all 3 of these are important but it's only worth knowing the difference between the game itself MBACC and Concerto a community launcher of sorts for the game which allows for online play. You will need concerto for online play.
From here on out you can find a lot of the necessary resources straight from the webpage. I'm going to regurgitate these resources and hope that someone else will pick up the slack and spread some new info in the forum.
The Wiki
The wiki is probably the most important resource you will use when learning melty blood as it gives information on all of the somewhat complicated moon/meter system as well as the moves and data of each character. It can be found here -------> https://wiki.gbl.gg/w/Melty_Blood/MBAACC
An Intro to Melty
this is a fantastic youtube video on not only what melty blood is but why you should play it.

Watch and Learn
While it's important to pick up each character and learn their strengths and weaknesses on your own, it's also important to learn from the masters. Luckily, there is a website dedicate to watching match ups between fighters. It can be found here ------> https://mbaacc.melty.games/?p1moon=c&p2moon=h
That's it from me, if anyone else has any resources worth posting I'd be happy to see them in the comments and I may even add them to a later forum post. I just thought I'd get the basics out of the way on the first post of the group. Thanks for reading!1!!!
