I switched from windows 10 to Linux Mint Cinnamon about 6 months to a year ago. I am a normal person with almost zero experience with Linux or programming. I watched a few MentalOutlaw videos on yt and realized I only watch yt and play video games/use discord on the pc anyway so the switch in theory wouldn’t change much as long as I could do those things. After using Mint for good while I don’t think I can go back to windows ever. Linux boots way faster. But the best part is that Linux doesn’t feel rented. It’s my space to add and remove things as needed. And I’m not being spied on to the same degree. The only issues I’ve run into are some games not running but I’ve been able to fix them easily 99% of the time (CoD:Warzone doesn’t work at all) on the flip side, some games (Team Fortress 2) run WAY better on Linux.
All in all, I am very happy with my switch to Linux and I am starting to convert those around me to it. One of my favorite parts of Linux mint cinnamon is the themes. I have reskinned my Linux to look like windows 98 with windows xp start up/shutdown sounds. 10/10
