help learning the drums

hai this one goes out to the drummers out there: i really wanna learn to play the drums, i dont have a set or know how to read sheet music tho :/ i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help share how they got started 

my financial situation isnt the best so i wonder if buying a beginning set or maybe starting lessons sometime might be better? im probably not gonna get started on this till maybe spring or summer

any other advice with getting started would be greatly appreciated :D
