Some anime I really enjoy are Revolutionary girl Utena, Revue Starlight, Madoka Magica and I'm in love with the Villainess, and while most of these are in fact, NOT gl anime I really want recs with female leads being very gay (regardless whether they actually get together or whether the series revolves around their relationship, I just want sapphic protagonists).

Love Live! is your best bet. The main cast is all girls and they are all very very much in love(I mean, not in the show they dont show that but from the vibes you can tell)
