Their algorithm is stupid. I need to use it as an author as a way of getting exposure because it’s supposed to be an effective method, and yet even though I interact with book posts almost exclusively, I keep getting rant videos on topics I’m not interested in. And it’s not like I’m watching the rant videos—I always scroll past.

my fyp before i deleted it was furrys,lgbt people,goth/alt people,cosplayers and a few 4chan folk sprinkled in.

what pisses me off the most is thats theres a lot of new content with new and useful info there, if im looking at the same questions on any other website rarely i will find something as recent and useful, sigh... i wish it woudlve been banned already, its messing up kids attention span and brains, same with adults, so why not just vanish with this whole concept of short fast videos already? sick n tired

me gusta un poco y lo uso, pero estoy en un lado muy aislado de tiktok, es entretenido si entrenas MUY bien el algoritmo, pero la mayoria del contenido ahi es un poco (demasiado) estupido, y aveces la gente es demasiado hostil ahi

Agreed. Short form content is a straight up plague on our society, plus idiots are on that stupid site. Never downloaded it and never will.

Not a fan of the tiktok machine, but thats mostly because im an old man (read: 20 years old) who doesn't entirely understand it. But also wow some of the people on there are assholes i swear to god
also stop watching movies cut up into 58 parts on tiktok pan and scanned to portrait mode thats not how its ment to be enjoyed nooooo

i hate the fact that every other social media (or not, for example spotify or netflix) its trying to recreate the tiktok formula, like, short maximum 30 sec videos and scroll scroll, it just look dumb and veryyy unoriginal
