digital artists, any tips?

Hello! I'm pretty happy with my style etc, but i would like to hear tips for digital beginners. If it's important, I use Krita. I used to draw in FireAlpaca, but it wasn't the best imo.

Hello Aki,

Any place we can see your art to give better criticism and suggestions? >,<

but i'm asking about digital art tips, not general art tips, cuz i know how to draw, and i'm happy with how i draw. digital art seems complicated for me, cuz they are so many different tools and settings. and I thought maybe someone more experienced could advise me

if you struggle to draw a circle
turn on the grid to help you with the porportions (basically draw a circle inside of a square)

i also recommend using a drawing program that uses vector instead of bitmap
unless you wanna make pixel art cuz vector is basically rendered connected edges
which allows for infinite resolution

the program i use is adobe flash cs6 it has vector, gradient colors
and it makes cool outlines with the brush tool so you dont need a drawing tablet for pen pressure

here's the link if you wanna download it (its free cuz outdated):

you're going to get so many awful replies XD digital art is still so controversial.
honestly find digital artists you like online (from wherever!) and try and copy elements of their style you like - try to have a goal when you're drawing something (like you want to copy an artist's style of lineart etc.) doing traditional art can def help with the basic stuff, like ur anatomy and 'art style' (ewww art styles :p) but the only way to learn digital art is to practice it, so draw loads and you'll make up your own tips n tricks eventually!

edit: Sorry! I didn't read your whole post!! this might come across as like beginner advice, but drawing digitally is so different (to me anyway) it is kinda like relearning! I would recc trying other painting programs too - like ms paint - and seeing what suits your style!
