@wedu Maybe just use an A/V capture card like a Pinnacle Dazzle DVC-100. Tweak with the deinterlacing settings, it will look smooth like it's being played on an old TV and/or on the little LCD/viewfinder. If you have an HD camcorder that has an HDMI port, use the HDMI and plug it through an HD capture card like the Elgato Game Capture, but pretty much any HDMI capture card that can output 1080i video would be good to go. Unfortunately, that won't be the case for A/V capture cards, but your best option for under $125 is the Dazzle DVC-100.
