About Those 'Stoics'

Not only on TikTok actually but mostly on TikTok. Since two years ago I have disliked those 'stoic' influencers like I want to ask them "do you really understand what stoicism is?".

They don't really have a deep knowledge of stoicism and the biggest problem is when they say that stoicism will make us happy...it won't, at least in our modern world.

Happiness has nothing to do with how we face the world. Complaining is one of the things that Stoics don't like because, according to them it won't make us happy so will we be happy by not complaining? I don't think so.
