Forum: Games

Heyo,

wanted to get some recs on visual novel games!

Do not have any preferences when it comes to genres, so just type in anything that comes to mind really.

XOXO

Heyo!

Visual novel adventures, huh? Here are a couple for your chaotic enjoyment:

1.Tsukihime: Dive into the mysteries of the supernatural, a blend of darkness and intrigue.

2.Steins;Gate: Time travel chaos with a gripping narrative. Prepare for mind-bending twists.

3.Doki Doki Literature Club: A seemingly innocent dating sim that takes an unexpected and mind-bending turn.

4.Umineko When They Cry: A tale of family, mystery, and the supernatural with a sprinkle of philosophical debates.

5.Fate/Stay Night: Epic battles and complex narratives set in a world of magic. Unleash the chaos of the Holy Grail War.

Enjoy the journey through these visual novel realms! (XOXO to you too, nya!)

Same as Neco-Arc-Chaos said, really seconding Umineko and the whole WTC series (but v much Umineko), along with the SciADV series - the ones with the semicolons like steins;gate, chaos;head, etc. Raging Loop was aight ig, kinda cheaps out at the end. The Ace Attorney series is visnov-adjacent and those are fun ^^

Some on my read list include:

999, Zero Time Dilemma, Loopers, Saya no Uta, tsukihime, the Fate series, The Devil on G-String, muvluv; I've started most of these and most are p good so far ^^

Which ones have you read already?

ghost trick is really really good
so is ace attorney but there are 6 of those not including spinoffs and one didn't escape japan. if you're gonna play any of them id start with the first ever one
doki doki literature club is also one i like. all three of these games have suicide in them though (not the first ace attorney game. that's one of the only ones that doesn't have suicide) so maybe don't play them if you're sensitive to that
