mine developed from making eddsworld fanart when i was 12 lol, 9 years later and you can still see some influence from that if you look real hard :P

a "personal style" is a combination of drawing a lot and having a large visual library. both of those are things you get with experience.
  1. go on pinterest. yes, seriously. make a board called "art i like". think of every artist, series, style, or whatever you like, and put it on there. even better if you categorize it.
  2. now copy the stuff you like the best. yes, plagiarism is bad, but this isn't something you'll be showing anyone, posting online, or claiming as your own.
the thing is, since everyone's brains work differently, your art's never going to look 100% like your copies. and that's great! the more styles you're exposed to, and the more you practice drawing them, the closer you'll be to finding a style you like.

another thing that's important to developing a style is having a good grasp of fundamentals - line, then shape,  then form, then perspective, then anatomy. it's not something everyone likes to hear, but you need to learn the rules before you break them. it's also not something you're gonna be perfect at at the get-go - if you're having trouble with something more stylized, it means you're having trouble with line, shape, form, perspective, or anatomy. they're good to go back to.

you don't really find A art style, you develop your own through what inspires you and it's always developing. my art style is all over the place and absurdly experimental and I like it that way, i look forward to where it goes from here

Honestly it can be a pain in the butt to stay with a proper artstyle, especially because art is always changing, your style will change with it...

My best advice to look at how-tos to perfect your anatomy though, because no matter the style, anatomy is important.

I love art. I've always wanted to do something that's more interesting than the human mind. But it doesn't mean that I've learned how to draw or how much it helps me learn how to draw. The more I do this, I find more and more art styles I like and enjoy, but there are so many different things I'm interested in, I can't really focus on them. So I'm trying not to be too specific. But it seems like I can't focus. I don't know what to think. So, I just try not to be too vague.

So I think that's my problem with art.

So, what do you think about this question of art and how to find a way for me?

Well, the first question is, how do you find art? How does that relate to your work, to your life, to your life-making process, or to your life's goals and your work?

Well, the answer is, that's a good question. But, the second one is, is there a way that I can learn how to find my style? How can I learn to draw, or what's more important?

I've been drawing for years, and I've been working on a few of the art forms, like this one, that are more like this, or the more traditional, or something. And I have this idea that I want to draw, but I can't find it yet, and it seems like there is a lot of other people that want to do that too.

But I'm trying. I'm working. I want to find something that I love. So I think it would help me to get my style into the world. I don't know how it would work. But, I'm trying. I want to find a new way. I think it's interesting, and it might help. But, there is so much I'm not really sure what I want to do or how I should be. And so, there are so many different things that I don't really understand. So I just kind of just keep on working. I don't think it's that I want to draw anything that would be interesting to the average human, but I just want to learn something about the

I got mine from just doodling or fucking around in drawing programs. I tended to not really "copy" any artists like most people do, i just mostly went with what felt natural, and that changed with my interests. Just try to draw "naturally" ig, no reference, even if ur drawing a specific character, for a while. Based on the media you consume you just tend to naturally gravitate towards some things, whether it be texture or bright colors or huge eyes, or simple hands or wtver. you eventually learn that unless your planning on being an uber popular artist who wants to survive off nothing but commissions, you dont really need a consiatnt style, and that trying to force yourself into a style is more oppressive and holds you back more than just drawing chibis and those bobble head stick figures.

I personally have my own art style where my characters have distinct characteristics such as oval faces with pointed chins, pointed chests (females), pointed fingers, and various different eye shapes.

steal from those who inspire you. eventually all those learned traits will form an art style of your own. copying is not a sin :-P

it would be best to just practice!

you cant just magically find your artstyle, you just have to get comfortable with a way you draw.

art takes time and i hope you find a way that helps you best ^^
