I found some html banners from an archive of greenday.com from 2009 and wondered if it's possible to use them on my profile. They don't work anymore with the code from greenday.com but is there a way to get them working?

Here's the link to the banners: https://web.archive.org/web/20090625083544/http://www.greenday.com/site/extras.php

TIA :))

Save it to your hard drive, re-upload it to another hosting service, and grab that URL.

I think the main reason these aren't working as-is is because the href link probably doesn't exist outside Wayback anymore. Good find though!

There might be a better way around this, but I think you'll have to download the one you want and upload it to an image hosting site. Then you'll be able to update the href with the new link and it should work. W3 schools explains how it works pretty well.

You could try finangleing a link to the image directly via Wayback. However, the link might not remain stable. It's also kind of rude to link to other people's images (particularly small companies or services) because it uses the resources for running their website to show something on yours, so it's better to have said image hosted on a website that's meant for that.

Download the image onto your PC

Then go to https://imgbb.com/, select the image you just downloaded and click on "Upload"

Finally, click on Copy Image Link and add it onto your profile as HTML
