How much do you value your time/how much do you think it's worth?
Here is an equation: divide what you're gonna charge into the number of hours you think it'll take you to finish the commission. IE: if you charge $10 and it takes you 3 hours, you have only made about $3.33/hr...do you find that to be agreeable when there are soooo many other jobs out there that pay way more? Minimum wage in a lot of places is 5 TIMES that.

Besides, you have to know your market. This isn't really the kind of crowd that has a lot of disposable income to spend on goofy online trinkets.

That sounds like a great idea — $10 seems like a very fair starting point for custom layouts, especially if you’re confident with CSS. A lot of people are looking for personalized profiles but don’t have the time or skills to do it themselves, so there’s definitely a market.

One thing to consider early on is how you’ll handle payments. If you're planning to work with clients internationally or want to avoid the usual delays with certain platforms, you might want to look into something like https://a-pay.one/. It’s straightforward and supports flexible payment options, which can make the whole process smoother — both for you and your clients.

If you post a few examples of your work, I’m sure you’ll start getting commissions soon!

From my perspective, offering secure and diverse payment-methods isn't just a nice-to-have — it’s a business necessity. I’ve seen firsthand how customers are more likely to complete transactions when they trust the process. By leveraging https://corefy.com/glossary/3ds-payment-gateway I added an extra layer of authentication that significantly reduced fraud and chargebacks without hurting user experience. This solution helped me strike the perfect balance between security and convenience across all supported payment flows.
