Does anyone need writing help?

For those of you who do not know me: my name is Matt, and I work as an academic/creative writing specialist at the local community college. I graduated from USF with a creative writing degree, and I’m about to complete my English Literature Master of Arts from Morehead State.

If you have questions about writing, feel free to add me and ask. Anything from basic grammar stuff to getting ideas out, i’d love to offer some help :)

i used to write poetry fairly often, but it always felt so cringe and anxiety inducing, as if im constantly being watched and laughed at, even in the isolation of my own bedroom. do you have any tips in order to supress these feelings?

I wrote this poem-ish thing, it's on my account but I just want someone with more experience in writing to tell me some criticism that will help me out, everyone I ask for help just says it's great and never tells me what is actually bad and how I can improve.

What do you think of this children’s book so far

1-

The boy loved playing with his dad at the park

They would play till it got dark
2-
One day a little sprout appeared
“It’s a weed” the dad feared
He knelt down to pluck it from the ground
But the boy made a warning sound
3-
The boy had found a friend
And they promised to stay together to the end
And so they played and grew together
Whatever the weather
4-
Until one day balls of fire rained from the sky
The boys house —- with a great big sound
He had to live in a house underground
5-
The boy was no longer a boy anymore
He now worked in a grocery store
6-
He got a text from his dad
About an accident that wasn’t too bad
He was grateful his dad was ok
And thought “I’ll go and see him today”
7-
He hopped on a bus and traveled home
As he was staring at his phone
The boy remembered the tree
And thought to himself “We used to be friends that tree and me”
8-
He got off at the
He picked the apples and made a pie
9-
When he gave him the pie
The dad started to cry
It all started with an simple act
An act the tree gave back

I really appreciate that you’re willing to help people at all levels, because not everyone has access to a writing center or patient teachers in real life. As someone who’s slowly getting back into school after a break, I’ve been trying to rebuild my confidence in essays and research papers, and seeing detailed feedback from others has been surprisingly useful. Reading Masterpapers Reviews gave me a sense of what strong structure, clear thesis statements and careful editing look like from the reader’s perspective, instead of just from inside my own head. Now I’m trying to apply that mindset to my drafts, so any practical advice from you on revising and cutting out fluff would be awesome.

Hi Matt, that’s really generous of you — having someone with a strong background in writing available for questions is a big help to any community.

Something I work with a lot is the visual side of text — not just what we write, but how it looks. Different lettering styles, emphasis, and formatting can completely change tone, mood, and reader perception. It’s interesting how presentation becomes part of the expression itself, especially online where identity and style matter so much.

That’s why I often explore tools that generate letras personalizadas they use Unicode characters to transform regular text into distinctive visual styles that people can use in profiles, creative writing, or digital content.

Writing and visual text design really complement each other. Thanks again for offering your expertise

Hey Matt, nice to meet you! It’s great to see someone with a strong background in creative writing offering help to the community.

I’ve been working on some web content lately, especially around topics like codice fiscale, where clarity and structure are really important for readers. I’d love to hear your thoughts on making informational content more engaging while still keeping it simple and useful.

Looking forward to learning from you!
