I recently confessed to this guy I like. I burned a CD and wrote him a cheesy note, and he was chill abt it but still rejected me. I really like him, as both a friend and romantically, but he doesn't like me back but also still wants to be friends. Any tips on getting over him? I still wanna be able to hang out with him and be friends, but I've never had a crush like this on anyone before. I totally get what ppl mean about heartbreak now lol.

I had a pretty strong crush on a guy in a parallel class and I basically just waited it out. Though I’m pretty much only over it like now and it took like a year for me to get over him but I can’t think of any other advice than just waiting and letting it go away on it's own.

You're going to have low confidence or bitterness for a while, but you'll have to work around it. Remember that it not working out was just how it was, and in the future you'll look back and say damn he/she wasn't even all that. People like to say "Focus on yourself" but really I think you're the most lonely after a heart break so I say surround yourself with friends old or new and get out there and hangout, and when you aren't you should try and develop your sense of self maybe even treat yourself to something you've been wanting. It gets better dear you got this <3
