Some handy tips for habit formation <3

For habits you want to keep and build up: Make it as convenient for yourself as possible. Want to go for a run every morning? Set your clothes out in a convenient spot the night before. Want to research new groups and orgs to join in your area? Pull up the tab with a simple google search and leave it there until you're ready to engage.


For habits you want to kick: The opposite is true. Put as many barriers between you and that habit as you can. Want to cut down on gaming? Disconnect your consoles/PC and put them away until you've done what you need to do. Want to stop procrastinating on studying? Set up a cozy space in your home with all your materials right there.


More than anything else, don't let a brief hiatus from a goal or habit deter you. There will ALWAYS be something that interrupts you doing your thing eventually. The important part is to return after the disruption. If you can do that, you've won.
