Thoughts On New A7X LIBAD Album?

I was wondering what your guys' thoughts were on the new A7X album (LIBAD)? Personally, I really enjoyed it, but I would like to discuss the topic a little!

So, to begin, I am very happy that Avenged Sevenfold is still making music! Even though I am 20yrs old, I just recently (last year or two) began listening to them and fell in love with their music. I had liked rock and metal before them but had a really hard time branching out and finding new bands to listen to. My boyfriend has loved their music since he was a child and he's the one that introduced them to me :) I just recently saw them perform their new album in concert and it was a blast!!! <3333

I can't lie though, I do tend to prefer their older music. Their new stuff is absolutely awesome, but I just love the heavier (I think?) tone of songs from WtF and Self Titled, which I was unfortunately too young to enjoy when it came out. I've seen quite a few mixed opinions, with many people saying that "it's not Avenged Sevenfold," "It's nothing like their old music," or "we miss the old Avenged Sevenfold." While they are subject to criticism like any other band, I do think people are tending to forget that they're hitting over 20 years of being in the industry and they're not 20 year olds anymore. Although it's sad to see the old A7X go, if we want them to continue to make music as a band with their own personal touch we need to allow them room to change and grow.

I'm curious to know what you guys think! BTW, Pls forgive me if I made any errors in this post or the process of posting, this is my first time ever posting on/using this website! Any and all feedback is appreciated!!!

I just got into A7x not to long ago but as far as LIBAD, I'll be glad be share my thoughts!!! I thought the LIBAD album was pretty solid!!! I think the main idea of like existentialism and tones of religion and the government is pretty edgy (in a good way)! They've touched a little on these kinds of topics before and I like they're expressing those ideas more! I've heard this album was supposed to give off a Mr Bungle vibe (I've just listened to the self titled album so I'm no one to judge) but I see it in some songs like Cosmic and Beautiful Morning (pretty prominent changes through out the song). However I'm iffy on the experimental music style because I'm more of a fan of their songs with that rough emo edge to 'em but I do like the songs! I just prefer the hard rock more! Again, these are just my thoughts so like yeah!!!!
