Yo let’s all go crazy as we talk about what that’s philosophical psychological concepts mean! (Background, I just reading about these topics mostly a philosophy person just I dabble in the occasional video about weird psychology.)

Well that depends, are you your body, or your mind? Even though all your cells have changed you still have the same mind and memories. Obviously your opinions changed and have everyone has done some introspection but you’re still fundamentally you.

you know, this is something thats been hard for me to ascertain especially personally. ive recently realize how much i mask and it being the cause of me feeling like, ever since i started working, that i have no personality :( genuinely interested in researching more though. any good places to start?

You do have a self everyone does. Your you have take into consideration what parts of your self your are masking. There’s a You that you show to everyone and your true you. This doesn’t mean you have DID btw. But you wouldn’t act the same way around your close friends like you would around a respect mentor. But it’s still you. There’s a theory call the Multiple Selves theory that explains this concept better than me.

as morrissey (hes a giant bag o dicks) once said, "Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?"
i find myself pondering concepts such as the ego and id often, but truly, these are nothing more than concepts. just labels we made in an attempt to understand the abyssal labyrinth of endless reflection we call our minds. i don't think we'll ever find an answer. we simply are ourselves, and ourselves are made up of an incomprehensible amount of tiny moments that each shape us with every passing second. all that nerdy vocab hogwash aside, it is fun to ponder! :]

We’ll never know, not even in death. The meaning of life is doing whatever that keeps us from killing our selves. Real grim but Ayy what can ya do

What if the body and mind have different purposes in life
The body is wanting to live to survive and the mind wants to discover and do stuff other than just wanting to survive and focusing on doing meaningful , artistic , creative and yknow thinking and pondering , two very conflicting motives in one single person so i think the body and the mind are two seperate ideas just trying to live in a single human and its all very confusing and every single event that happens to the human will shape its mind and body for better or for worse all the random things you did have consequences on these two ideas from just picking your dinner or to decide what job you want to have it will have an effect on yourself and others and the mind and body will react differently always changing because you are always making decisions so maybe your true self is molded by the mind and body's reactions to the choices and the mind and body is molded by your true selfs decisions but thats just my own personal opinion i dont know

I’m pretty sure Freud’s theory on the Id, Ego, and Super Egos talks about just that. Honestly I need to pick up some of his books and Carl Jung’s. Though I am under the camp that thinks Freud is a hack there’s some truth in what he says.
