Funny American Revolution army officer name I found

While scrolling the depths of Wikipedia, I found this funny chap called Benjamin Lincoln. I thought it was kinda funny he shares names with Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln. It almost seems like some sort of parody, like Abraham Washington.

He's not related to Abraham Lincoln, by the way.
