I don't listen to goth music, but I can recommend bands in the other categories. I'll just give one for each genre (other then goth,) so I don't make this post too long. I'll also leave links to one song for each band.
Indie Rock: Pain's a pretty good band. They've called a pop punk band, and that label isn't outright inaccurate. but their notable among other pop punk bands for having less of the usual pop punk cord progression, their use of horns, and for a lack of a better term, "teenager-y lyrics." Some of their songs, like White Recluse and Midgets With Guns, can get really out there in terms of what one would expect from a punk band.

Scene: Forever The Sickest Kids do good stuff in the genre of Neon Pop Punk. Their songs are reasonably catchy, and usually make good use guitar and keyboard. Their lyrics are reasonably fun, and sometimes relatable, though it can be said that said lyrics do full into the label of "teenager-y lyrics," which I mentioned earlier. Keep in mind that I've heard some people call FTSK generic, which I can understand, but personally, I'd say they're less generic compared, say for instance, Bowling For Soup.

Metal: Powerman 5000 is a good metal band, specifically industrial metal. They're lead singer has a name scream voice, they have good choruses, and a lot of their songs have a certain, for a lack of a better term, power to them.
