I have been self-shipping since I was in middle school-ish and have a question,,
I have grown up but my f/os havn't, is it wrong to still self-ship with them even if i feel as if they grew up with me??

hello, i just joined this group, and this post really stood out to me! i dont know if you'll ever see this, but i'll post this eitherway for those who are having this same question as well to share my thoughts.
honestly, i think you should do whatever you want forever if it makes your heart happy ♡ if you feel as though they have grown up with you, then they have. you understand your f/os uniquely, and im sure others shouldnt be able to speak on that. much love and support to both you and your f/os! (^o^)

you are ultimately the person who's interpreting your f/o(s), and if you feel like they've grown up with you, then they've grown up with you! if it feels like they just can't or shouldn't, etc, maybe it is time to let go of them and move on. but i think that with growing up with your f/o(s), it opens up a great opportunity to explore character evolution/design changes, which is something I enjoy as an artist ^^
I'm almost 19, and have also been self-shipping since middle school. I intend on letting my current fictional partner grow all old n' gnarled with me, it feels very romantic hehawhaw
