What's the status of SpaceHey right now?

Forum: SpaceHey

I've read some Forum posts about the minimal moderation in terms of inappropriate accounts and messages. I joined this website because I wanted to make online friends in a similar and simple way people would've several years ago, but I'm worried this site just isn't popular enough for it to need constant moderation. Basically, I'm just worried this site could end up like Discord in some way- that site is the whole reason I'm trying to move here to make friends- because Discord is too dangerous and uncomfortable.

So does anyone know generally how active or safe this website is? Do you think it's a good site to spend my time on each night?

Let me know ^^

There's zero effective moderation on this site, because far as anyone knows there are only two people with moderation powers for well over half a million users. Despite that, the site hasn't been completely overrun with spam yet. Activity is low because the site doesn't help keep track of ongoing conversations, but interesting conversation happens, and I even made a few friends.

I just joined and it seems somewhat active for being what it is in the current technological landscape of social media sites. I think a forum pulse (shows most recent forum posts) would help direct people towards the most current activity easier so they can join in on whatever is currently being discussed if they want.

Also, to help boost activity here for average traffic time spent on the site, a dedicated music player for the site itself so smaller bands and even bigger bands (if they wanted to join) can upload their songs to their pages, and people can choose to add a single song to their profiles using that media player. Bands on MySpace had somewhat of a different default layout than regular users profiles. I think in 2008 or 2009 since the site grew so much, we were able to add fuller playlists with a max amount of songs on our profiles (up to 30 songs I think, but I could be remembering wrong)
