How to create a lock screen/screensaver on Peppermint

Been using peppermintOS for some months now. I'm pretty new to linux but can follow directions. PeppermintOS is debian based. So if anyone has any step by step instructions on how to create a screen saver, I'd appreciate it. Can't find it anywhere on the internet right now. What I do find doesn't work. TIA! <3

Sorry for my bad english. I believe Peppermint uses the xfce4 desktop environment, along with the xfce4-screensaver for displaying the lock screen, which relies on the xcreensaver modules.

xscreensaver is a program with a collection of various screensaver themes and options that you can explore.

You can replace xfce4-screensaver with xscreensaver and try a lot of themes, also you can put a video for screensaver with xscreensaver.

I understand that creating xscreensaver themes from scratch can be a bit challenging.
