Glad to see you started a new group here for some serious talk! I find that book reading is a sign of intelligence! I learned to read with Dr. Seuss books, moved onto Nancy Drew mysteries, then to horse books (like The Black Stallion) and the Borrowers series. By 7th grade I'd read Gone With the Wind a few times, and consumed "Auschwitz".
Later in life, I got hooked on Dan Brown, Steven King, and Dean Koontz. Also, I learned to enjoy some fantasy series. Now, books I read tend to be online (Amazon library), religious/philosophical, and political.
Good luck with this group!
