how do you go about deleting your account? I want to blog, but the URL that's assigned to my account takes you to a "page not found", and after 3 emails to their support desk have gone unanswered, I figured my only option is to delete this account and start over. help!

Did you set a display name or an actual username? If you haven't set up an actual username under Account Settings your profile page uses a numeric ending, like this:
https://spacehey.com/profile?id=1950255
And your blog uses the same id like this:
https://blog.spacehey.com/user?id=1950255
If the numeric id is showing, it usually means that a username hasn't been selected
