SpaceHey Rules & Etiquette

Forum: SpaceHey

Hello, everyone! I'm new to SpaceHey. As the title implies, I'm wondering if there are unofficial, possibly unspoken rules or an unofficial etiquette on here.

Obviously, I'm familiar with SpaceHey's official rules -- it's all stuff that is pretty much common sense/decency. What I want to know is if users have essentially developed an unspoken, fairly universal etiquette, and if so, I would like to be informed about it so I can abide by it. :^)

For example: What is the acceptable time frame in which you can reply to a forum topic before it becomes necroposting? I saw that there are some forum topics that were created a week or so ago that never got replies. Is it necroposting to reply to them?

Let's say you wanted to create a forum topic about cat videos. There's already an existing topic about cat videos -- however, it was created 2 years ago. HOWEVER however, the topic is recently active, with replies from the past few days. Should you make a new topic or simply hop into the 2-year-old topic?

These are just some examples I've included to illustrate the sort of thing I'm wondering about, but I'm interested in SpaceHey etiquette as a whole, not just forum etiquette on here. :^) And of course, if there are neither rules nor etiquette to be aware of, that is perfectly fine by me.

I haven't seen this kind of thing being discussed around here, but SpaceHey moves much more slowly than other social networks, for a variety of reasons, and conversations take a long time. So it's probably fine to reply after a while.

Good to know! That's what I thought, but I figured I'd ask anyway. :^) I wonder if some sort of unofficial etiquette would form if this place gained further traction. After spending so much time on Reddit and various wikis, it feels strange to see years-old topics still getting replies lol!
