"Collected Conscious" (my short story) ...

A desperate friend who struggles to compete against any interest held toward any other closest to his heart. But of whom "obscure" macarbre undertones, to reveal. And as worthy is the limitless wealth of friendship in fighting for, yet is one of hard feeling to bear. For to reminisce through the countless coupled heartbeats echoed throughout each and every warm-hearted whisper once lovingly shared between friends. While to soon discover an ability only given to the fortunate few. Who move closest to the choir, in order to "acquire", or to simply peel back the layers in which to clothe, within a type of second skin worn. With second thoughts, and with a second chance at friendship. Are to feel quite collected of character. So, in continuing to drain, or to deplete the untapped wealth of reward within each unwilling victim. -Which are now contained within that single spirited soul to aid in furthering the flattered thoughts from a treasured friend. And who's efforts can now finally move you, as we ourselves move closer to you, and who nervously step forward. But to take that nerve-racking step back to return to your welcoming breast, and to reside to your thoughts. So that we might inhabit your dreams -and to perhaps even feature as the favoured friend once more. With thanks to one fractured mind, and for the love of two reaching hearts. Both of whom can enrich our lives, and our love for all time. Then you may have found that one friend. That true soul mate that'll never leave your side, ever again -Warren ...
