see the thing is: a lot of old phones were all cool and funn on the outside; cookie cutter "just werks" bullshit on the inside which made them pretty interchangeable for the most part.
That being said I grew up with nokias and I still cherish the 5130 Xpress music I had as a kid, and really wish I had 5730 because sliding side keyboards are still the coolest fad in mobile we ever had but to be honest
as far as the standard numpad phones go MAN is everything Sony Erickson put out way cooler
though that may also be just because they were used by people I considered cool at the time

For me, my favorite phones are the Motorola Razr V3, T-Mobile Sidekick, and those Blackberry Curve phones. I've always loved flip and QWERTY physical keyboard phones. As a matter of fact, I replaced my old slab of glass modern smartphone with a 4G flip phone in May of this year. :)

just swapped my phone to the comfiest compromise I've ever held - DuoQIN F22 Pro. As tall as a normal smartphone, but proportionally narrow for a feature phone which it's not - running android 12, but it DOES have a keypad, which has already come in handy when I got drunk once, sonce yea 12 buttons is a lot easier to manage. The screen itself is touch sensitive of course, and about the size of the original iphone, though modern on-screen keyboards are not nearly as accurate at that size, pluse I had to outfit it woth a bunch of external solutions for dumb minor issues I had - keyboards both for keypad and on-screen, navigation bar, just to have the virtual and hardware back button on the same size, the works. Still. No regrets, it FEELS right as a phone, and still lets me use Discord as well as SpaceHey.
