how to add an intro without overriding the lines filter on my profile??

hi!!! i just wanted to ask for help finishing my profile. i have like a vintage lines filter (i can send you my "body; before" code cause that's where i think it is) and tried adding a profile intro using this entry and it worked, but removed my filter? i tried inserting part of the code into my "body; before" section and that didn't work either. any HTML veterans can help?
