so this is going to seem hypocritical because i am a homestuck, its my favorite thing ever but im specifically talking about the homestucks who havent even read the comic. in 2021(?) there was a random revival of the homestuck fandom on tiktok and twitter and because of the nature of those sites (mostly tiktok) a lot of people wanted to be in the fandom but didnt actually read the comic. because of this a lot of people made/make headcanons that arent really accurate and just water down the characters.i have tons of headcanons but ik there not real and other people are allowed to think different thing. i have literally been told to kill myself because i didnt headcanon nepeta as being transfem and black (THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HEADCANONING THAT).
i just think people need to stop pretending to like homestuck and stop pretending that they know everything about it and they get to decide who can headcanon what.
(im chosing not to go in depth abt this but people who like/kin cronus and havent read the parts about him YOURE FUCKING ANNOYING AND I DONT LIKE YOU. and if you have read the parts with him in it and you still like/kin him youre gross)
