Retro video sharing website?

I wonder how popular a retro video sharing website would be nowadays.

I still remember the original YouTube layout. Before the days of countless ads and commercialization of the platform. Back when it was just a place to look at cool videos.

I know that now, people are fed up with the bs of the modern internet constantly logging data, using you as a product, etc. So, I’m thinking of starting a project similar to SpaceHey, basically a revival of  2005-2006 era YouTube.

Any suggestions of what features you’d like to see? Let me know!

As far as I know, sites like BitView and VidLii exists

I'm obviously a veteran on those two sites. Vidlii however is getting an upgrade which is in beta.

To reply the person above me, @jr

I
honestly quite like BitView for what it is. It does emulate the YouTube
feels that I miss, and while it's not feature heavy that VidLii (New
version coming soon, in Alpha state) is, it still is pretty neat.

It's supposed to be its own thing, that the well known site fails to do so due to corporation, and wrong decisions here and there.

It really shouldn't be your thing (That's with BitView), however, VidLii (The new one, in very alpha state) is trying to be more flexible and customizable for the average person.

But yeah, it's all I have to say. :p

there's this chrome extension called youtube redux that allows you to change youtube into the old layout, logo and everything. i think its cool but theres still a lot it misses out on, the formatting is similar but not the same. being able to further customise the formatting wld be cool
