Like most Americans, for the past 4 years, my state-of-mind has been a damaging mixture of terror/disgust/fear as well as disappointment in my fellow humans.

I can play guitar but I'm definitely not a "talented musician" I wish I had the talent to match my passion. oh, and I can't f-ing SING. Really wish I could sing.

Is "my entire childhood" too broad an answer? Then I guess I wish I could change the residual damage from that childhood that is still such a big roadblock to happiness and progress.

Being brave enough to escape my small town when I did, and the expectations that went with that place.

being able to walk outside without makeup or doing your hair, no jewelry, only wearing a baggy shirt and your most worn pair of jeans, and not even thinking about how others see you. simply existing without effort and not being afraid of it. thats the foundation for any type of happiness imo

my favorite compliment EVER was when a friend told me my personality is like fireworks. although i can be moody a lot of the time, i always try to stay positive when around my friends and being around them in general will just make me feel more bubbly

I think "perfect happiness" is a weird way to phrase it bc nothing is "perfect" y'know. It's why the concept of heaven is so hard to conceive of bc like... we don't know what it's like to be in constant joy or ecstasy. Anyway that was nonsense mine is either hanging out playing games with friends or drawing and listening to music w/my cat

Moments of joy and euphoria. It's being in the car with your partner. Them playing a playlist they made just for you, the wind blowing in your hair. It's your cat coming to cuddle you in the night choosing to lay in the nook of your arm. It's simplicity. It's being content. It's feeling safe. Knowing that these moments don't last forever, but that you will feel this way okay and it feels wonderful.

I'm afraid of the dark. I'm afraid of touching and being touched. I'm afraid of crowds of people and loud noises. I'm afraid of abandonment, of being alone... of never being alone... I guess at the end of the day I this means I'm afraid of the unknown, the unpredictable, of trusting people.

The trait I despise most is the trait I also love the most about myself. It's my willingness to forgive. My continuous softness ebbing and flowing outwards despite everything. 1. ) My idea of perfect happiness is sleeping in on a snowy Saturday morning, with my partner next to me, and my two kittens curled up in the bed with us.
2.) My greatest fear is becoming disabled via a horrific accident. Being able-bodied is a privilege, I understand that. But the thought of losing my sight, or use of a limb, or even full paralysis is a nightmare scenario for me.
3.) A trait I deplore in myself is my tendency to hang onto negative experiences. I have more memories of bad things that happened to me than good things.
4.) The trait I deplore most in other people is self righteousness, but lack of accountability is a close second.
5.) The living person I most admire is a hard one to answer, but Edd Sorenson is easily a contender. He’s one of the most experienced cave divers in the world and has gone on countless rescue missions to help divers in trouble.
6.) My greatest extravagance is stationary. I love journals, cute pens, stickers, etc. I even tried to thin down my notebook stash since I have so many, but I always end up buying more.
7. ) My current state of mind is very positive! This year is off to a great start for me and I’ve made a lot of positive changes.
8.) I think the most overrated virtue is environmental awareness. Too often this important topic is taken over by people who want to show off how much they recycle and their useless “cutting back”, and they lord that fact over you, as if they’re better than you.
9.) I tend to lie the most when I’m avoiding trouble. Even if I would be in the right by telling the truth, if being honest could cause a confrontation, I would rather lie than fight.
10.) What I dislike most about my appearance is my weight, but I am making progress towards fixing that.

- What is your idea of perfect happiness? Lying in the warm sun, eyes closed, occasionally opening them to stare at the sky, content to relax knowing I am safe and warm.
- What is your greatest fear? Being forever misunderstood.
- What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? My desire to fit in, even after all these years spent slowly learning to accept myself.
- What is the trait you most deplore in others? Cruelty, particularly when they're perfectly aware that their actions will hurt someone.
- Which living person do you most admire? I don't know. I've been trying to not admire people lately, or... to admire everyone in their own little way, you know? Although, if you'd asked me this question a year or so ago, I would've said [insert current favourite band here].
- What is your greatest extravagance? Depends on how you define "extravagance". If you mean something expensive, my laptop. If you mean something fabulous, then the sparkly grey feather boa I hang on my wall.
- What is your current state of mind? Happier than I've been in a long time. I'm feeling this sense of internal peace and acceptance, and it was truly earned.
- What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Being rich, I guess? If that's even a virtue. Ooh, I have infinite money, I can buy a golden Lamborghini. Sick. Now what?
- On what occasion do you lie? When I'm scared. If I feel judged by someone I disagree with, I'll immediately pretend I agree with their opinion, no matter how lacking it is in evidence or sense. I really wanna kick that habit to the curb, it's so annoying to me.
- What do you most dislike about your appearance? [Insert obligatory gender dysphoria reference here]. Nah, I'm pretty content with my body these days, given the circumstances. Actually, the thing I dislike about my appearance right now is my hair! It's not bad by any means, but I really wanna grow it out, cut better layers into it, and dye it dark blue. But I have to wait until it's not the most awkward length known to humankind to do so.
- Which living person do you most despise? No-one in particular. I don't focus on that stuff much. That being said, anyone who is intentionally cruel with the knowledge it will hurt someone? That is someone I do not like.
- What is the quality you most like in a man? Kindness, comfort, humour.

- Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I say "groovy" way too much. I actually created a list of words to use instead. It includes, "wicked", "sweet", "awesome", "cool", and "sick". Groovy.
- What or who is the greatest love of your life? Fuuuuuck man. I dunno. Salt and Vinegar chips has been the most consistent. In terms of people, my close friends are absolutely the loves of my life.
- When and where were you happiest? I was gonna say "when I was a little kid who didn't care about anyone's opinion", but that's not completely true. I cared, even back then– I just didn't realise that people had opinions about everything. Anyway, if I keep improving my brain stuff and seeking out things that bring me joy, then the rest of my life will be the happiest years of my life! :D This year, I've been happier than the previous five years of my life combined. FUCK THAT'S AMAZING. I just realised that lol
- Which talent would you most like to have? THE ABILITY TO SPEAK EVERY LANGUAGE. INCLUDING ANIMALS. I wanna understand what everyone's saying! I wanna know what YouTube is like in every frickin language! Holy shit, the films? And the music? Yep. Languages.
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Again, [insert obligatory gender dysphoria reference here]. But that's annoying, I don't wanna limit myself to that. So if I could change one thing about myself, I would be more attuned to what I want! So if I was spending too much time on YouTube as a way to not think about certain things, I would allow myself the time to just think, even if it was uncomfortable or sad.
- What do you consider your greatest achievement? Achieving peace and happiness after years of anxiety/hopelessness/generally awful mental health. Like, shit, I was having such a rough time and I didn't even know it. Things are better now, and it all happened because I changed the way I thought about the world. And I've still got a long way to go! That makes me feel so optimistic and positive, because life is ok right now. That means it'll be so much better the more I heal :D
- If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? A crow, I reckon. I'd love to fly, and their calls are annoying in the best way. Plus their feathers are beautiful, and they're smart. Oh, and they like shiny things– we've got something in common. OR– IF I WASN'T A CROW– I'd want to be an animal that could breathe underwater, walk on land, and fly. I doubt any animal like that (other than an insect) exists, but if it did, I'd pick that for sure.
- Where would you most like to live? Somewhere nature-y but also people-y. I'm a major introvert who needs peace and alone time, but I also really like people and I want to be near them. I feel safer around people who are close to me, so perhaps I'd most like to live with a friend. Oh, and I'd have a pet rat, because I heard they're really cuddly animals
- What is your most treasured possession? My red heart-shaped pillow with arms from IKEA. That thing gives the sickest hugs
- What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Hating yourself but refusing to hate the world that made you that way. Been there done that, bitches. It's totes not fetch, bestie xoxo

I really want to revisit my old Andy Griffiths books that I feverishly read and reread as a child, because those things were insane in the best way, and they definitely permanently screwed up my humour– again, in the best way. In terms of lyrics, I like Gerard Way (surprise surprise). They're the kind of lyrics that immediately strike your mind with imagery, but that you sometimes have to delve deeper into to understand.
- Who is your favourite hero of fiction? Uhhhhhhhhhh. UHHHHHHH. UUHGSADFJASGHFJ. I'm frantically looking through my bookshelf right now. OH. Donnie Darko!!! Sacrificing everything you've ever known to save everything you've ever known. What a madlad.
- Which historical figure do you most identify with? Man, I really need to learn about more historical figures. JESUS CHRIST, OF COURSE. Joking. Hm. I'll get back to you on that.
- Who are your heroes in real life? The people around me. There's so much you can learn from the average people you attend classes with or serve at your job (even if sometimes, you learn "don't be that person, what a dick, holy fucking shit")
- What are your favourite names? Florian is a beautiful one, popular in Germany. I've also always liked Rudy. Also Sophia. I loved 'Jamie' as a kid because it was the first gender-neutral name I'd ever heard. I was like, "WHAT??? YOU CAN DO THAT???"

- What is your greatest regret? Not being myself when I had the chance. I could've made some really good friends that way. But, I really couldn't help it– not with how messed-up my self-esteem was at the time. I didn't know that people could actually like me, back then. I know that now. NO REGRETS
