Help a trans girl with Scemo/emo >.<

Yoyo!

I've been into this Emo/Scene thing for months now. Still not sure on the best way to go about it without raising suspicion from family. Really scary to take a risk like that with confidence

Any advice?

I'm not an expert, but your could start with something "tame" I think (skinny jeans, studded belts, bracelets, colorful graphic tees) and maybe even with the hair you can go not too crazy so they'll get adjusted to it... I don't know how strict they are, but I wish you the best!

get some accessories, bracelets, rings, necklaces, etc. try and get some bright shirts or hand-me-downs. find some temporary hair clips and clip them in ur hair for some pop of color. go to claires actually, they have a lot of colorful stuff and maybe you could find something there! gl!

I recommend starting with skinny jeans, bight-colored or dull-colored t-shirts, and a few neon accesories like a couple of bracelets and bright earrings! Maybe even rings :) you could also wear fun-patterned leggings (stars, stripped, ect) with a pair of shorts on top! After all, that’s how scene and emo were back in the day; little to no accessories! Today’s scenemo are packed with accessories, they look more like decora scene/emo styles rather than just scenemo, so underdressed still counts as scene and emo, in fact it’s even more accurate to scene than the current scenecore akdkskdk

I do wanna note though, music is a big key in every subculture, is recommendable that you listen to scene or emo music if you’re in the subculture! Gets you more in the feels 0w<
