Armored Core General

General AC discussion thread. Talk about AC6, newgen, oldgen, whatever you want. Maybe us isolated AC fans can find people to talk to lol. I'll go first.

My experience with the series use to be limited to 4 and For Answer when I was a kid, but since then I've played and beaten 3, Silent Line, most of Nexus, some of Last Raven, some of the first game (currently uploading a playthrough to youtube) and I've also replayed 4 and For Answer and FA is my favourite, with AC3 as a close second.

After playing a good chunk of the AC series, I've also played a bunch of other mecha games and I can safely say that none of them really scratch the same itch that AC does. There's something special about it, in the same way there's something special about all Fromsoft games I guess (old and new.)

I avoid joining the broader discussions on the game because I find the larger community to be extremely unwelcoming and off-putting, also gatekeep-y as hell lmao. I'm curious about other peoples' takes on the series, their favourite games and their thoughts on AC6 (I'm really excited for it.)
