Wondering if there's currently a scene for TTRPG fans here.

There's always D&D, but I also enjoy a lot of indie ttrpgs.

Here's some of my favs!

Troika! Numinous Edition - a gonzo science fantasy adventure game where you can play as anything from a Befouler of Ponds preaching to the gnats and the toads, to a Precocious Ooze studying dweomercrafts, to a lost Monkey Monger just trying to take care of his monkeys.

Monster Care Squad - an adventure game where you play as fantasy monster veterinarians trying to cure monsters of a strange disease known as the False Gold before they upset the utopian balance between monsters and mankind.

FIST: Ultra Edition - cold-war paranormal mercenaries, very campy, very fun. It's got Metal Gear Solid vibes.

10 Million HP Planet - the planets evil, and its up to you and your superpowered friends (along with hordes of weak grunts fighting to survive alongside you) to destroy the very planet you've called home.

Brinkwood: The Blood of Tyrants - a castlepunk game where you play as freedom fighters rebelling against vampiric overlords in an industrial era

There are all kinds of games out there that rely solely on your imagination and some dice (sometimes even Jenga towers, tarot cards, or regular playing cards), and with some help from friends around a table or online you can bring entire worlds to life. I think that's what I like most about these types of games.

do y'all have any recommendations, or tales from your various ttrpg adventures that you'd like to share?

here are the recommendation:

  • Vampire: The Masquerade - this one is pretty popular. as you can guess, it's about vampires. in V:TM universe vampires are real, but it's kind of an underground. The Masquerade, from the title is the important rule about hiding. You can't give people an evidence, that vampires exists. V:TM is pretty politic most of the time, at least from my experience, but it's really fun and have an interesting lore!

  • City of Mist - a system in which I played the best campaign of my life (thanks for my amazing DM). In this universe some people have a super powers called mythos, which comes from a story (can be a book, comic, movie, myth etc). It's can be simple like SpiderMan mythos gives you a spidersence, ability to stick to the walls and shoot spider silk from your wrist, but you can have more fuc and create something non-obvious.

  • Monster Hearts - it's really fun and easy system full of queerness. You play as a teenage monster in human school and you have to keep your monstrosity in secret. It's a system about teenage problems and relationships. And you never know what sexual/romantic orientation is your character, cuz only the dice can decide if you are attracted to other character or no.
