Hey what up, raised catholic but don’t identify. More of a topic that I’m interested with and find it very beautiful and poetic.
I’m only saying that because I don’t want my posts or future posts to be seen as mocking or me trying to get a ‘gotcha’ I’m honestly not.
Okay so I’ll start with something and forgive me if the question’s surface level but I haven’t don’t any research on the question and more just want to float it.
Why is the Pope set in Rome? I’m not saying that just because they killed him, but because i feel like the church being set in Rome is directly against the teachings. I’m currently reading through the Old Testament but i have gone forward in the new to skim around so i could be very wrong. But if Christ who came from poverty and even denounced riches, kings, and mostly anti-government (they were anti government because they were being killed but still) how does this eventually turn into Christianity being the most powerful government in europe? With the pope having the strengths of countries. Some may say that it’s deserved/destiny that this underground religion grows powerful enough to take over the world. But did have to happen this way?
Like i said, pretty surface but i think it would be a fun way for this group to move a little. Hope to see more posts here!
