Haven't read it personally, but "Carmilla" by Sheridan Le Fanu. Lesbian vampire story written in the late 1800's, a couple decades before Dracula was written. I've heard good things.
somewhat 'controversial' opinion but there is a lot of gay shit going on in the LOTR books. And the other stuff in the Tolkien universe. Theres like a million essays and articles and stuff about it lol.
for some reason other older stories aren't coming to my mind atm x_x
but here are some more recent ones that aren't just two gay white cis men lol
"The Drowning Girl" by Caitlín R. Kiernan. Some people didn't like the flow and stylistic choices of the writing but I actually found them enjoyable and authentic. Main character is a lesbian and there's a trans woman character as well.
"Meddling Kids" by Edgar Cantero. A paradoy of Scooby-Doo, but for adults. The 'velma' stand-in(the main character) is a gay Latina woman, and the stand-in for Daphne is (bisexual?). The writing style is very unique and again one that isn't for everyone, but I liked it lol. It's definitely a horror comedy and isn't meant to be taken super seriously.
"Criers War" by Nina Varela. High-fantasy with two gay women main characters. Its YA but good imo. Theres a second one but I didnt read it. The writing style is definitely modern but not as bad as some more modern queer fic thats came out in the past few years.
