do u prefer the canon or fanon versions of the characters?

I rlly liek the canon versions of the creepypastas. Sum fanon characters r gud, but som are kinda bad and not well thought out :(

It really depends on the creepypasta, i love the Bloody painter story and canon personality, but the jeff the killer one? Not my favorite, dont get me wrong, i love him,, but still, the fanon sometimes makes me laugh xd

Some fanon are really bad tho, toby really have the worst fanon personality for me

i cant tell like its fun when its fanon but like cooler when its canon YOU KNOW

I feel like this heavily depens on what pasta and how the person interprets them. I feel like a lot of CPs have a good concept of a background story but are just not written very well or lack detail and if the fandom tries to expand on that and make it more logical (as far as that is possible lol) the fanon versions can actually be a lot better than the canon ones.

E há muitos que tentam fazer de tudo para que sua creepypasta seja reconhecida, mas obviamente não dará o mesmo resultado de um usuário que entende de computador e narrativa. I've already written 5 creepypastas. Even if they don't gain fame, I have fun writing them.

Canon mostly tbh I absolutely despise fanon masky

Alot of Fanon makes me Cringe, But the canon.. now that's where I go. (i mean it's rare for me to see a fanon I like, i did as a kid but now. idk it's hard.)

A lot of the time I dont like older popular fannon interps, like that weird skinny cheesecake uwu version of masky, the waify soft boy version of toby, and the kind of softly edgy emo version of jeff (will discuss later). I prefer particular fannon interpretations that were made more recently usually. They're more realistic and as a person who dealt with some psychosis / depression and anxiety / anger issues when I was younger its nice to have characters that were like me who i can find comfort in.

This is my favorite thing ever for toby - best headcannon list in da world imo, its like the bible to me. For fanart, I like antlergrave.

For jeff Im totally ok with him being emo, but I think he should always be an asshole first. He's just a weird freaky guy who also happens to wear skinny jeans and listen to get scared.

a mix of both is good, I think. the canon and fanon both have their flaws, so it's nice to find a balance that includes the good aspects of the two. 

I liek both versions, since I grew up on the Tumblr-fied versions, but I feel liek the original stories have kinda been forgotten/missed. Liek, Jeff isn't supposed to be a hawt yandere guy, he's a grotesquely burned guy with no eyelids. But, I liek both versions. 

The canonized version of characters is perfect because it's a "real" part of them, but actually some fandom characters are simply forced to the point of being toxic.

i like them both since canon is sometimes interesting and its sometimes nice revisiting old stories but i really enjoy fanon since tbh it's kinda fun and more entertaining? like i enjoy some fanon versions of (CERTAIN) characters and it can be fun to give them your own headcanons and just imagine how they'd interact in this situation or how'd they be with this character! so while canon is something i like and in a way respect, i do happen to enjoy fanon by a bit more!

personally i prefer the Canon especially... TICCI TOBY CANNON STORY I know it's not the best but come on... Ticci Toby the fanon ver is a big trahi tale that need to be burn in HELL plus I hate happypasta I count it as fanon ....

when I think about good stories and lore, I prefer canon, but when I'm thinking about scenarios dating characters I like or having fun I prefer fanon for sure

canon for true scary stories, fanon for comfort and making my inner child happy
