Is it down or did the owner simply close the site altogether?
For those unfamiliar with Blips, it is a Twitter clone that is based on Twitter's look and functionality from around 2009. I loved how it brought back memories from my early Twitter days and it's sad to see it go if it's been shut down but I hope it's a matter of a crash that will be fixed soon.

i cant see a reason why jacob would suddenly shut the website down. i think some 12 y/o got pissed off about being banned & took it down.
its very weird though. all urls that have something after the main part redirect to a meme video titled "Autism" but if you simply type in blips.club with nothing else, it takes you to status cafe. WTF? i hope the sites back soon.

I don't see why Jacob would shut the site down either. I'm hoping it doesn't suffer the Crabber fate (Crabber was another Twitter clone that got shut down by the owner because he couldn't substain it) and the hacking theory seems plausible too. Yeah, it's really weird how any url that has to do with Blips leads to that Autism video on YouTube, that had me so confused.
EDIT: Blips is back online now, glad it wasn't gone for good! :)
