I’m hopping to do a little video blogging 

What do you think would be a good starter handi cam ? 

I heard the flips were pretty convient

I like the ccd-trv65 for its features, but for convenience when editing the video from it, I'd recommend any handy cam that uses SD cards, maybe with a mount for a light.
