Tell Me About Your Favourite Music Artist and Why You Love Them

Here's Mine;

My current obsession is Kikuo. His music has a signature sound (he uses vocaloid and other voice synths) yet it's simultaneously so diverse and dynamic. I enjoy the styles he's inspired by too (gamelan, jazz, synth pop etc.) and admire how he merges them so effectively.

There's just so much attention to detail in the production - so many twinkly bits and hidden counter melodies but the overarching themes are still clear and don't get lost. And the often abstract lyrics usually give me something to think about once the song is over.

Cardiacs!!

i don't even know where to start with them, they're one of those bands you just have to listen to for yourself.. i'd say i like how eccentric and fun they are, they don't take themselves seriously haha. Tim Smith is probably one of the greatest musicians to ever live and i look up to him a lot, he's a huge inspiration to me.

motionless in white, everyone in the band is very talented, especially chris. his voice (and just their music in general) is very unique and portrays alot of emotion, his screams are insanely good, and he sounds even better live imo. he's a very talented guy. justins voice is amazing as well. i love watching their "deadstream" because they just sound so damn good. that version of contemptress and sinematic are on another level.

there's a singer i love a lot! idk if we can really call her a singer, she covered some vocaloid songs on her youtube channel and she's also a voice actor! her name is jiena tomomi sumi, and i love her voice :3

Mine is Fugazi they were one of the first bands I listened to when I was getting into punk. I just love their sound and lyrics also a lot of their politics still hold up today even if they're from the 90s. Their music never gets boring for me and always gets me hyped.

My favorite band atm is Origami Angel, their sound can be so diverse yet it's just peak modern emo/pop punk for me. I love the reassuring nature of (most of) their lyrics, which is not really common in the scene.

Jonathan Hultén, his music isnt really in the genre i typically listen to (it's like, goth folk music?? I'm only half joking) but hes such a creative artist, musically and otherwise. He's got a really great look too, super intricate eyeliner detailing and neat costuming that makes him look moreso forest creature than human.. see below:

Mine is Nine Inch Nails.  My favorite things about them are:

1.  Trent Reznor is a great musician, and the interlocking parts in every song are so interesting.

2. Every album is super cohesive

3. He blends industrial with lost of other genres like metal, synthpop, and art-rock, so every album sounds like nothing that has been done before
