So, there was this one anime called Glitter Force, and it was a magical girl anime on Netflix and it had the main character(the pink one) fight off these evil guys that wanted to fill the world with despair and bad endings, and the main girl had this small sidekick pet or whatever that came from storybook land and she has to find these other magical chosen girls(orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) and they all symbolize different character traits and whatnot(courage, hope, perseverance, etc.) Anybody else watch this show or is it just me?

Glitter Force is the ripoff of a magical girl series of the "Pretty Cure" franchise.
The Original name of the series is "Smile Pretty Cure!" Which is way better and different: not only it lacks on censorship, but it also gives the characters a deeper development which is known for this series. These girl grow by fighting against traumatic events, Glitter Force took off most of that side of this anime.
I really do recommend you to begin with the Pretty Cure franchise, perhaps before going forth with smile you should start with "Heart Catch" or "Pretty Cure 5" to get an idea of what you're going to see.
