Dream wardrobe

So I have a dream wardrobe that's like full of different styles. I love Y2K and street wear but I'm also heavily into fairy core and gothic clothing. I don't know what to do tbh, I would love to have those kind of clothes but I'm 5'9"/5'10" so it's hard to find baggy pants or dresses/skirts that are long enough, and the skirts are already hella short, I'm almost 16 but my mom doesn't really feel comfortable getting short short skirts/dresses and because of school I can't go all out. Idk I would love to dress however I want to but I don't want to die on multiple stairs trying to walk in platforms or feel weird because other people may not like how I'm dressed (more so when I lean more goth) I just dk how to find a happy medium

personal style is something that comes with time! i used to lean heavily into aesthetics as well, but as i've worn things and gotten older, i've found a happy medium between everything i draw inspo from: i love the aesthetics of baggy mallgoth fashion and that tends to fit really well with japanese "genderless" fashion that i also draw inspo from. instead of pulling directly from aesthetics, ask yourself why exactly you like the aesthetic. i like these two because they've got very loose, non form fitting clothing. once you break it down to the basics, you'll find that aesthetics that seem really different still share some similarities you enjoy and can make work together!

sometimes though, things don't match 100% and that's okay! i've got a few ouji pieces that don't really fit with the rest of my wardrobe, and they're kinda relegated to special occasions lol

girl i get the struggle. i have fairly many clothes right now but only so few are 100% my style (my favourite pieces are mostly the ones i DIY'd a lot). i wish i could snap my fingers and bump upon perfect clothes in every store i enter. but regard the journey as something fun!! building up a wardrobe within limitations is more amusing than magically having a full closet instantly

My wardrobe is slowly growing! I've been thrifting and looking at things online and it's been working out. I still find it hard to decide what to wear every day and figuring out how to dress when school starts so I'll be working on that but it's very fun making outfits of many different styles and mixing them to fit myself :D
