I've put all my recs in so I wanted to go ahead and share this even though I don't have all the links put in yet. I'm adding the links as we "speak". :)
This is my first forum post, so if it turns out that I can't edit links (bc I'm not entirely sure right now), I'll post a reply with all the links in it.

Depending on exactly what you like, this may not be up your alley, but one of my favorite bands is Spotlights. They're technically atmospheric sludge metal / post-metal, but they have a lot of shoegaze influence. Some of their songs remind me of some Deftones songs, but I'm a bigger fan of Spotlights (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify) . If you end up liking Spotlights, also try Alcest (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify), Holy Fawn (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify), Lantlos (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify), and Planning for Burial (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify).
Also recommend:
- Gold Celeste (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Nothing (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Slow Crush (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Cloakroom (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Candy Claws (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Alvvays (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Slowdive (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM| Spotify)
- Have a Nice Life (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Greet Death (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- My Bloody Valentine (obvs) (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Whirr (also obviously) (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Hum (another obvious choice) (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Them Are Us Too (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Avenade (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)
- Makthaverskan (Bandcamp | Rate Your Music | Last.FM | Spotify)

More recommendations:
- Last.FM tag 'shoegaze'
- Rate Your Music - all 'shoegaze' releases
- Rate Your Music - top 'shoegaze' albums of all time
- Rate Your Music - highly rated 'shoegaze' releases with relatively few ratings (esoteric) from all years

Other genres you may like: "doomgaze" (not sure how official that is), doom metal, sludge metal, post-rock (you have probably already explored this), post-metal AKA atmospheric sludge metal
A great resource for exploring metal (doom, sludge, and atmospheric sludge included) is the Encyclopaedia Metallum AKA Metal Archives.

The Daysleepers, Slowdive, The Veldt, Deep Cut, Whirr.
Also, you should listen to DKFM radio. They play exclusively shoegaze. It's where I found Deep Cut.
