any seamstresses here?

i went and got my bachelors in fine art, but i want to make a career pivot... i always thought about beauty school, but to be honest seamstress work seems way more interesting to me. its a lot of independent working in the studio i assume. no customers aside from fittings/communicating via email/phone.  

is it worth it to go to school to study sewing? how important is mathematics? drop experience or tips!
