Fujoshi

Something I've noticed while looking at profiles on this site is that a lot of people here have no clue what Fujoshi means and keep bastardizing the term. The term "rotten girl" originated on 2chan (Japanese 4chan) and was used by misogynists. They were mad that women read BL, and so they found them unfit for marriage. but at a certain point, those women reclaimed it.

So now it just means a woman who reads BL (sadly, in the west, privileged white teens like saying otherwise).

Terfs also had fun ruining the word's reputation by making absurd claims such as "Yaoi is turning girls into transmen" and so much more.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in reading about the history of the word, I'd recommend this site.
