Does anyone remember the game on myspace where you had a digital pet? I think it was just called "virtual pets"? I played it all the time but I can hardly remember what pet I had.

I remember this game! I was 16 when I had first played it. I had a calico kitty named Misty. I can't remember her level but I remember that I had given her a crown to wear. I was obsessed with the game up until they removed it I was so upset..

Here is a list of most of the original games that the old my space had available to play. Back then some of my favorite games to play were Cheers(drinking game), Mafia Wars, Street Racing, Vampires and YoVille. So many people were into playing most of those games back then.

I was addicted to SuperPoke Pets(SPP). It annoyed a friend that I spent more time on Myspace playing the game than doing anything else. Sometimes I miss those games, they were simple and fun.

If I'm not mistaken, MySpace had a link on the bar called "Apps" in which there was a selection of games you can play.  I remember an app called "Tag Me" that seemed popular.  Anyways, I played a pet game called "SuperPoke! Pets" and I had a Turtle named Leonardo.

I believe the game you're questioning is called "RockYou Pets".

I'm from the original Myspace era of early internet adopters, i was even around when youtube first started up. I don't remember playing this game though personally, but I did play the Vampires game mentioned multiple times here before, along with a few others like Dog Wars(which was kind of a kid friendlier version of Mafia Wars) and a lot of people used a part of the site to share their favorite songs at the time by embedding players and images. Nowadays though the closest thing you'll find to those kinds of games i think are sites such as Magistream and Dragcave, where they are a click adoptables kind of game site.

There was this one old one that was essentially an Idle Vampire game.

Back in the day it was really popular to play things like Vampire/Mafia games, you'd invite friends to play them and join each other's gangs, click to "fight" another gang, wait like 3 hours and see what you've gained or lost as a result. And you got to customize your avatar too. It was pretty wild and I'm pretty sure it pioneered microtransactions in games

Yes, I definitely remember those MySpace virtual pet games! They were so much fun and addictive. It's amazing how such simple games could bring so much joy. I had a little virtual pet too, but I can't recall which one it was either. Those were the days of customizing profiles and nurturing our digital companions. It's a nostalgic trip down memory lane. By the way, did you ever try out the Space Flight Simulator for PC? It was another cool MySpace gem! (spaceflight-simulator-for-pc-750x420.jpg)

Myspace, a once-popular social networking platform, featured a variety of games and applications that users could add to their profiles to play and share with friends. These games and applications were often created by third-party developers. While Myspace has evolved and changed over the years, here are some of the old Myspace games and applications that were once popular:

  1. Mobsters: Mobsters was a text-based RPG game where players could build and manage a virtual criminal empire, complete missions, and engage in virtual gang warfare.

  2. Mafia Wars: Similar to Mobsters, Mafia Wars was a game that allowed players to build their own criminal syndicate, engage in various illegal activities, and compete against other players.

  3. FarmVille: FarmVille, developed by Zynga, was a popular farming simulation game where players could plant and harvest crops, raise animals, and build their own virtual farms.

  4. Pimp My Ride: In this game, players could customize virtual cars with various accessories and modifications to create their dream rides.

  5. Texas Hold'em Poker: Texas Hold'em Poker games allowed users to play virtual poker tournaments with friends and other players.

  6. Who Has the Biggest Brain?: This brain-training game included various mini-games and puzzles to test and improve cognitive skills.

  7. Pet Society: Pet Society allowed users to create and care for virtual pets, decorate their pet's home, and interact with other players' pets.

  8. Battleship: A digital version of the classic board game Battleship, where players could challenge their friends to naval warfare.

  9. SuperPoke!: SuperPoke! allowed users to send virtual hugs, kisses, and other actions to their friends' profiles, adding a playful and interactive element to Myspace.

  10. Vampires vs. Werewolves: This game allowed users to choose sides as either a vampire or a werewolf and engage in battles and missions.

It's important to note that Myspace underwent significant changes and a decline in popularity over the years. Many of these games and applications are no longer available on the platform. However, they hold nostalgic value for those who enjoyed them during Myspace's heyday. Today, social gaming has evolved, and many similar games can be found on other social media platforms and mobile devices.

No other game had me caring for a pet more than SuperPoke Pets (SPP)!! The way I took care of my Panda*, after school making sure their they ate and played . I remember them having a “special” sale, where I was like a hottub for my pet and other cool stuff and I stg, was $100. I thought it was a bargain, got my moms card on the low, entered it, but then they called the house to confirm that this was legit. This game had me in a chokehold
