Me and my friend have our more consistent third player so we've been brigging much more often, and because of that we're getting more into PvP. We planned to do world events and just fight anyone at the event or whoever tries to run us off if we get to one first. Well after spawning in there's an active Skeleton fort and we go to it and attack the Brigantine that finished before we reached them. We sank them easily and took their loot. After cashing in at Reapers they appeared to us and one of them spoke to me, revealing they were just kids. Not that they told us, they just had the squeaker voice. They asked to form an alliance, while being passive agressive about us sinking them and we knew they were probably planning to get back at us, but we accepted anyway just to be friendly and show we didn't mean to be toxic. We decided to stack Fort of the Damned together but before it we did skeleton ships and a normal fort. We think during that we built trust with the kids as one of them started to just talk and tell stories with us and the adventures they had in game. We did the fort twice and then went to cash in.
We set sail discussed what to do now, we decided to do more world events and two other allianced ships approached us and we were ready to attack. Well before we shot they asked if we could merge and all be in one alliance together. We said sure, as the kids rained down cannon balls into them, which of course we got them to stop and explain what was happening. The new member asked to stack FotD and we agreed to. It was a normal FotD run, at one point one of the new members kegged our ship because he got suspicious of us putting the loot on our ship. He expected us to leave right before selling to betray everyone which was understandable, it happens all the time. But the kids from before said he could trust us so we went on with the event.
Before the end a fifth ship joined us and we set off to sail once more. For some reason everyone stayed on our ship, along with one Sloop following, my friend said to probably make sure the loot gets sold and shared. Weird how people just chilling on our ship is becoming a reoccurring theme. Anyway one ship had to leave so it was four ships again. After selling gems at a Seapost for Hunter's Call rep everyone started to goof around. We got together to sink the Sloop by filling it with a bucket to make a swimming pool. Then we did the same to our Brigantine and sank it. Then five of us, counting me, got on a row boat and rowed off. We goofed around and got to the old arena place and just ran around acting silly. Then we died to fall damage and most of everyone logged off afterwards.
During the "Swimming Pool" moment one of them said "Most players in this game make me lose faith in humanity but you guys are really cool" Very fun and wholesome day.
